Our team at Ocean Audiology Inc. is committed to providing exceptional hearing care services to our clients. As a Registered Audiologist, Shauna MacCallum has a wealth of knowledge and experience in managing various hearing issues. We utilize advanced technology and treatment methods to provide the best hearing solutions for our clients. Our clinic is conveniently located in Barrington, NS, and we also offer mobile servicing and home visits in the Tri-Counties area for those who are unable to travel to our clinic.
What is an Audiologist?
An Audiologist is a health professional who specializes in the assessment of hearing and tinnitus (ringing in the ears), and who can recommend, prescribe, and fit assistive hearing devices, such as hearing aids. An Audiologist has earned a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Audiology and is a regulated healthcare professional in the Province of Nova Scotia. An Audiologist’s scope of practice allows them to provide hearing care services to both children and adults. An Audiologist’s services are widely recognized by a variety of private medical plans, third-party insurers, and other medical professionals.

Owner & Registered Audiologist
Shauna MacCallum is a Registered Audiologist and owner of Ocean Audiology Inc. She has close to 20 years of employment in the field of Audiology and has been a practicing Audiologist since 2013, when she graduated with a Master of Clinical Science degree in Audiology from the University of Western Ontario.
Born and raised in Yarmouth County, Shauna has grown up with a love of the water and of people – especially helping them connect and communicate better with others and the world around them.
She is proud to offer hearing care services in her clinic in Barrington, NS or with home visits/mobile servicing appointments in the Tri-Counties. Shauna enjoys spending time with her husband and their two young sons, and - you guessed it - living near the ocean.

Administrative Assistant
Trish Newell is often the first face that you will see when you come in the door or is the voice over the phone when you call. She brings a wealth of experience to her role as Administrative Assistant, having previously been employed in a medical office for a decade, among other customer service roles.
She is passionate about travel and new experiences and is always up for a chat about her latest adventures! When she’s not at Ocean Audiology, Trish enjoys channeling her entrepreneurial spirit into managing her own travel business and helping others explore the world.

Office Manager
Rhonda Stoddard is the Office Manager at Ocean Audiology and is the jill-of-all-trades! She strives to help wherever and whenever possible and loves to make people's day! She is enthusiastic about learning new skills and helping to support both clients and staff alike.
Rhonda has an extensive background in various retail customer service and administrative roles and is the driving force behind keeping things running smoothly both behind the scenes and on the front lines.
